Chillers are known to be one of the largest consumers of energy, so monitoring their efficiency is crucial. CET Enviro has developed a unique, affordable, and user-friendly energy monitoring system that accurately indicates the efficiency of a chiller online — calculating the kW per hour the chiller consumes in proportion to the duration it takes to produce a fixed amount of tonnes (kW/TR). EMOS™ installs a magnetic flow meter and PT100 temperature sensors at the evaporator and condenser inlet/outlet of each chiller, alongside an individual kWh meter that measures instant electrical power consumption. Instant data from the flow meters, temperature sensors, and kWh meter is sent through communication cables and collated in a specialised control panel, then automatically retrieved and updated in real time for average day/monthly trend analysis and report generation on the cloud server. With smart analytical tools through this web-based software, simply monitoring and optimising chiller performance can lead to a 5–10% reduction in energy consumption — fast to install, at an affordable price, with an easy-to-use interface.

EMOS™ is the most effective and reliable system that automatically records specific power consumption of chillers in the most accurate way, 24×7 — tracking chiller tonnage (TRH) and kWh against design benchmarks, chilled and condenser water delta-T, chilled water pump efficiency, and cooling tower effectiveness. It continuously collects, analyses, and reports on chiller operating data through the internet facility integrated into EMOS™, connected to a cloud-based server — saving at least 5–7% in chiller energy use.
