COLTCS — Condenser Onload Tube Cleaning System — keeps power plant condenser tubes clean while the unit stays online. A fully automatic, PLC-based system that protects back-pressure and recovers the MW output fouling would otherwise cost you.
COLTCS keeps condenser tubes clean on load, so that MW reaches the grid instead of getting lost to fouling.
Older generations of online condenser cleaning technology carried real drawbacks — ball loss, short ball life, and uneven ball distribution across condenser tubes. CET Enviro re-engineered the technology from the ground up: COLTCS injects specialised sponge rubber balls into the condenser system, where they pass through the tubes and scrub fouling from the inner surface while the unit remains fully on load. A custom-designed ball trap retrieves every ball and pumps it back to the condenser inlet for continuous reuse — engineered for a lifespan three times longer than standard cleaning balls, with zero ball loss.
Condenser fouling raises back-pressure and quietly erodes turbine efficiency — costing output that never shows up as an alarm. COLTCS keeps tubes at design-point cleanliness continuously, recovering that lost efficiency as real, sellable MW, while also cutting fuel consumption per MWh generated and avoiding the multi-million-rupee cost of an unplanned shutdown.
Custom-designed ball trap recovers every cleaning ball for continuous reuse.
Engineered sponge rubber balls last three times longer than standard cleaning balls.
Continuous online cleaning holds condenser back-pressure below conventional designs.
Purpose-built injection system distributes balls evenly across all condenser tubes.
Recovers 5–7% of power plant efficiency lost to condenser fouling.
Delivers 5–7% more MW output to the grid from the same generating capacity.
Keeps tubes clean online, avoiding unplanned outages caused by fouling.
Eliminates manual condenser tube cleaning and its associated labour cost.
COLTCS is built for power generation facilities of every scale — smaller, medium, and large power plants — where every point of condenser efficiency translates directly into grid revenue.
